The Green Corner in My Home

Hey, everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I want to share with you a little project I’ve been working on for a while: creating a green corner in my home. 🌿

What is a green corner, you ask? Well, it’s basically a space where I keep all my plants, from succulents to ferns, and where I can enjoy some nature vibes indoors. I love plants because they make me feel calm, happy and connected to the earth. Plus, they purify the air and add some color to my decor.

So, how did I create my green corner? It was actually pretty easy and fun. Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Choose a spot with good natural light. Plants need sunlight to grow and thrive, so make sure your green corner gets enough of it. I chose a corner near a window that faces east, so it gets morning sun and some afternoon shade.
  2. Pick the plants that suit your style and needs. There are so many types of plants to choose from, but not all of them will work for your space and lifestyle. For example, if you travel a lot or forget to water your plants, you might want to go for low-maintenance ones like succulents or cacti. If you have pets or kids, you might want to avoid toxic ones like lilies or ivy. And if you have allergies, you might want to opt for air-purifying ones like snake plants or spider plants.
  3. Arrange the plants in a way that looks good and makes sense. You can use different pots, baskets, shelves, stands or hooks to display your plants and create some visual interest. You can also mix and match different sizes, shapes and colors of plants to create contrast and harmony. Just make sure you leave some space between them so they don’t crowd each other or block the light.
  4. Add some personal touches and accessories. This is the fun part where you can express your personality and creativity. You can add some photos, paintings, posters, books, candles, crystals or anything else that makes you happy and reflects your style. You can also use some fairy lights, lanterns, lamps or candles to create some cozy lighting for your green corner at night.

And that’s it! You have created your own green corner in your home. Now you can enjoy it whenever you want and feel the benefits of having some nature around you. I hope this post inspired you to try it out yourself or gave you some ideas for your own green corner project.
